Shepard Fairey: Sticking to the Man

Shepard Fairey, the godfather of graffiti, street art innovator and phenomenologist, keeps it real by making his art accessible and available.

He routinely puts out a handful of signed posters each month for $30-35. Usually, the 200-350 hand-numbered prints of these signed editions are sold out in 10 minutes. Sadly, a week later you can find these prints on e-Bay for sale, typically around $100-$500 each.

I’m a huge fan and want to introduce you to his work or remind you to keep supporting it.

Last year Phileena and I were able to score of a handful of our all-time Fairey favs:

Recently, Shepard Fairey did a run of Obama prints. They were gorgeous. The sold out almost immediately. People went nuts and started selling these $30 posters for $6,000+ on e-bay. Fairey got mad and laid it down

That’s why I love him. Sticking it to the man at every angle.

Let’s keep art accessible.
